Privacy Policy for GoodLuck DVR

GoodLuck DVR (Daily Visit Report) is a mobile application used by our field sales team and administrators to manage school and bookseller relationships, visits, attendance, and related sales operations. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles user information. This app is intended for use by employees and authorized personnel of Indus Analytics / GoodLuck, and is not intended for use by the general public.

1. Information We Collect

GoodLuck DVR collects and processes certain information necessary for field sales and attendance management functions:

1.1 Account & Profile

• Name, phone number, employee/role details
• Login credentials used for authentication

1.2 Location Data (Precise, incl. Background)

• GPS coordinates while the app is in use, and continuously in the background during working hours
• Used to record field visit locations, reconstruct visit routes, verify check-ins at schools/booksellers, and support live tracking & route-replay features for managers

1.3 Camera & Photos

• Photos captured during a visit, and photos chosen from the photo library
• Used to document school/bookseller visits, specimen drops, and expense receipts

1.4 Visit & Sales Data

• Visit notes, schools/booksellers visited, orders, specimens, season plans, tour plans

1.5 Attendance & Expenses

• Check-in/check-out times, leave records, TA/DA (travel & daily allowance) expense claims and receipts

1.6 Device & Usage Data

• Device type, OS version, app version, crash logs, notification tokens

All data is used strictly for internal field sales operations and is not sold to third parties.

2. Permissions Used

2.1 Location ("Always" / Background)

GoodLuck DVR requests "Always" location permission because field executives need their visit routes and check-ins recorded even when the app is not actively open on screen. This is core to the App's purpose: reconstructing a salesperson's daily field route for attendance verification, visit compliance, and manager oversight (live tracking / route replay). Background location tracking can be disabled at any time from your device's Settings, however doing so may prevent core features of the App (visit verification, route tracking, live status) from working correctly.

2.2 Camera & Photos

Used to capture and attach photos for visit documentation, specimen drops, and expense receipts. Images are stored securely within the organization's system.

2.3 Notifications

Used to send alerts related to tasks, schedules, approvals, and reminders.

3. Login and Authentication

The app requires users to log in using credentials provided by the organization. Authentication is handled securely and credentials are not shared with any third parties.

4. Data Sharing

GoodLuck DVR does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with:

• Your employer (GoodLuck / Indus Analytics) — managers and admins within the organization can view field data (location, visits, attendance, expenses) relevant to their team
• Service providers used to operate the App, such as cloud hosting, push notification delivery, and mapping services, solely to provide those technical functions
• Legal or safety reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Indus Analytics, our employees, or others

No external analytics or advertising services are used.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect data handled by the app, including secure transmission (HTTPS) and access controls to prevent unauthorized access.

6. Data Retention

Data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by internal company policy or applicable law.

7. Your Choices

• You can control camera and photo library access from your device's Settings
• You can change location permission from "Always" to "While Using the App", or turn it off entirely, in your device's Settings — note this may limit core App features
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us using the details below, subject to legitimate business record-keeping requirements

8. Children's Privacy

GoodLuck DVR is an internal workforce application intended solely for use by employed adult personnel of Indus Analytics / GoodLuck. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on this page.
